The idea for Continues is steeped in my history of loving video games and finding friends, family, and community through the art form. Since I was a kid, I loved playing games, and being an only child, having something to do that made me feel like I was a part of a larger world when I was home alone was magic. My mom brought me home a Commodore 64 when I was about 7 (the system was as old as I was at that point), and said, "Someone gave this to me at work, I don't know how it works, but if you can figure it out, apparently it plays games." That sent me on a path that lead me here, playing great games, eating incredible food and drink, with people I love. 

When I was in the early stages of putting this together, my partner, Doug, texted me from Greenland and said "Hope (his wife, dear friends to my wife Alisa), said you're starting an arcade. Can I be your CFO?" and of course the answer was a huge YES. Doug is an essential part of this organization, just like Amber is essential to running our front of house and operations, and our food wouldn't be what it was without Brian as our Exec Chef. If I have any real talent, it's bringing together a team of people who are excellent at what they do around a common vision, and get out of their way to let them execute their excellence. 

I really hope Continues will grow into that same space I had as a kid, where great games, great food and great drinks bring community together. It's what we're all about.
